sore throat

I have been on synthroid for about 3 weeks now. Was on armour for about 2.5 months. Since changing over to synthroid, I have noticed that my throat is so sore. Does this happen to anyone else? What could be causing this?

I am on meds for acid reflux

last 30july, i had total thyredectomy, after that i suffered for sore throat. and live with broken sleep.

thanks terri. I don't think it is a bug. It is more burning in nature than sore.
This whole business is no fun...just learn as you go....

Hi Peggy,

I started out on Synthroid 100 and now on 112 and so far I haven't had any problems.  But as you know, everyones body works different.

Are you sure you didnt catch a bug?

Try to wait a little longer and see what happens and if your throat soreness has to do with the synthroid, i would ask to have it changed.

I hate to even say it, but maybe if it is no better at the six week point you should ask to switch to Levoxyl.

I haven't had a sore throat.  Is is hurting everyday?  Do you think you caught a "bug"? Oh, maybe the acid is doing it?

this is also making the acid reflux so much worse.

will this lessen as time goes on?
