still gaining weight

My thyroid medication is now at 175mcg ,after200 mcg wthat happens then?

You are at, or near a full daily replacement value for synthroid med.  If you are still having symptoms of hypo t, then some obvious questions are ---how long have you been on this dosage?  What were the results when you last had a blood test?  For best info, suggest TSH, free T4 and free t3 be checked.  In the interim, you might get an indication of your situation by checking your temperature for several days and several times a day and calculating an average value for comparison to normal of 98.6  When you have more info, post another message and I'm sure you will get some helpful info. from some of the knowledgeable members of this forum.
