subclinical hypo

im on hep c tx. im on week 20/24. After week 13 the thyroid test results were as under

TSH    5.64         Normal    0.5 to 7.0
T3      2.10          Normal    1.08 to 3.14
T4      118           Normal    59-135

i was told subclinical hypo on this forum. i talked to my GI and he said that nothing is wrong all the figures are in normal range. Normal is Normal. He has not asked for further test again.  I have extremly fatigue, weakness  but dont have constipation problem. i have loose stool problem. i have lost a very little hair. You can say my hair are thin than before tx. My pulse is often between 80-100 (before tx it was 58-65) In december i gained 2 kg weight but now for last 1 month it is stable. my question is should i treat my thyroid and check it once agian or not??? My symtoms are so similar with interferon sx that it is hard to diagnoze is it due to thyroid or interferon.

Wow who told you that 0.5 to 7.0 was normal? Not even close! That's disgusting if that's what the doctor is going by. The REAL ranges are 0.3 - 3.0. So yes you most likely have subclinical hypo. Get tested for antibodies and as said above free t3, t4

You have subclinical hypothyroidism, those lab references are out of range. Since your last post and these analyses now you may have hypothyroidism, so if your doctor says you're ok, ask him for new analyses and may be your TSH this time is really out of range. You should test for free T4 and free T3 (not the totals).
