synthroid vs generic

by booterboy, Oct 21, 2008 09:13AM
I do not know what my exact numbers are but I had A ENT Dr. that removed the side of thyroid that had a benign tumor. He said I would probably never have to take synthroid, then I had a lot of bad episodes of crying alot waking up scared in the middle of the night and heart palpitations and scared I was dying. He ran a blood test and gave me 150 mcg of the generic, he did bloodwork like 3 weeks later and lowered it to 100mcg,told me to go back to work and did not want to see me until Nov. 28. My primary Dr. said I was taking to much so he lowered it to 75mcg and kept me off work for anxiety caused by the thyroidism, Since by blood has been checked and i am on 37.5. Went to see an Endo last thursday and he said I should be better the surgery was almost 4 months ago, Checked my blood and still have not heard anything. I am suppose to go back to work on the 27th and I still have a lot of anxiety.

This discussion is related to Synthroid versus generic levothyroxine (I have Hashimoto's).
