Depending on how long it takes you to get an appointment with doc, I suggest you go ahead and make one now. I say this only because you are showing very litttle change in 3 weeks.  At the appointment you should insist that free T3 and free T4 be checked along with TSH.  If your doc has a problem with this, then you may have to look for  a good  doctor who understands thyroid problems.

That is normal.  The body's metabolism slows down at night.  I think the doctor who first started really using body temperature as an indicator of low metabolism/ low thyroid was Dr. Broda Barnes.  His procedure was to use basal body temperature which was taken in the armpit, before getting out of bed.  He believed that the normal basal temp. should be a min. of 97.6, which is one degree lower than the reported optimal of 98.6 for temperatures taken during the normal day.

For the hypos in this thread - is your temp down all day or just in the morning?  Mine is down when I wake up and rises to normal-ish during the day.

Don't know about the vomiting problem; however, when I got back into the hypo t state again recently,  I had a real bout with gastritis, including bloating and stomach pains, so it is not too great a stretch to think it could also include your problem.  Incidentally, my doc switched me to a T4/T3 type med.( Armour thyroid), in order to bring my free T3 level up, and in one day my gastritis symptoms were gone. More than just a coincidence.

Two weeks is not enough for you to get the full effects of a T4 med. like Synthroid.  Full effect probably will take 6 weeks, but you should start noticing some effect as you go along.  Continue monitoring your temp.  After six weeks, if you still are having the same symptoms, you might get the doc to retest, starting with the most important component--- free T3, along with free T4 and also TSH.   Hypo t patients seem to get the best result when free T3 is in the upper third of its range and TSH in the lower end of its range.

Body temp. is a very good indicator.  Here is a good link for you to look through.

http://www.drrind.com/tempgraph.asp

It says the optimal level is 98.6.  The lower your average temp. is, the lower your metabolism, most frequently due to low thyroid. Of course this needs to be confirmed with blood testing for free T3 and free T4 and TSH.  Personally I have found body temp. to be quite useful.
