test results

by spencer24, Mar 19, 2008 08:54AM
Hi,

I am 24 years of age. I have had a thyroid test and got back my results.

TSH was 2.88            Lab Range ( 0.35-5.50 )
Free T4 was 17.                         ( 12-23 )

did not do Free T3. My doctor has says that my results are normal.

I think they went by the old ranges. Because i know that 2.88 falls within 0.3 - 3.0 which is the new range.

Is my free T4 normal as i think its high if i went by new ranges so i'm not sure by what i should go by, as i have seen different ranges. Can someone give me more information about this please.
