I had a large incapsuled cancerous tumor removed from my thyroid.when they removed it they did a biopsy and said there was no cancer, and closed me up without takeing any part of my thyroid.it was sent to a lab after and than i was diognosed with thyroid cancer.my doctor says after 6 months he will do another ultrasound of my thyroid to see if anything is there.i have had no treatment for this,no blood work ,nothing.i wonder has anyone any thoughts about this, commonCommon cold issues,or advice, anything helpfull
The fact that one biopsy said no cancer, then the lab said cancer is definately a concern. We've all heard of lab mix ups and we all pray it doesn't happen to us. The lab should still have some of the tissue. Ask them to do it again!
Personally, I have had blood tests repeated over and over at different labs, just to be sure there were NO MISTAKES. I wasn;t giving up my thyroid without a fight. No mistakes allowed.
I don't like it. I'd get a second opinion.
