i have thyorid since one year and i took newmecazol 5 mg , now the t4 and t3 normal but but TSH is 0,5 the doctor said i should make blood test next month if the tsh less than 0,5 i should increase the tablet for 2 instead of one , ineed to know plz is this normal or no? and how many month i should take the tablet ?
Stella.....Zanooba means...Neomercazole which is the drug name for Carbimazole.
Zanooba, I was on 40mg daily of neomercazole (an anti-thyroid medication) which was 4 tablets a day (10mg).
You will be taking the medication until your levels are stable and you are no longer hyperthyroid.
Have you had your FREE T3 and FREE T4 tested and also been tested for Graves Disease with antibody testing?
If not, I suggest you write this down and aks your Doctor to do these tests.
What did your last lot of blood tests show?
It is normal for the Neomercazole to be increased if you are still hyperthyroid(overactive thyroid).
