I have had a high white blood cell count for 4 years now. But, now I am showing more symptoms of hypothyroidism. You posted that hyper would elevate the wbc's. Will the disease itself whether its high or low do the same. I have a doctor I have been seeing for 4 years now who is telling me I have CLL. I have never really believed that is the reason for my high wbc but I'm no doctor. Had my TSH checked by a doctor and he said it was fine, but that was 2 yrs ago and with all my symptoms 2 yrs ago don't see why that quack didn't send me to a endocrinologists instead of a hemotologist. Any information you can give me about this disease would be greatly appreciated. I do have an appointment with an endo next month hopely She will do the correct testing...

Yes it can.  It can also cause abnormal protein synthesis within the lamba chain.  See my post regarding the must read article that talks about these symptoms.

yes, if the thyroid is overactive it will produce a high white blood cell count. i would get the thyroid levels checked to be sure. once the thyroid is under better control the white cell count should get back to normal.
