I was told 3 days and I purchased a blow up bed for the purpose.
A 'draw sheet " (or Kylie as they are called ) is good enough.
I had RAI 2 years ago.
I was also told that I could be in the same room as my partner but an 'arms length away'.
But was told 2 weeks is the norm for contact with small children and pregnant women.
The hospital usually gives you instructions before RAI,
Maybe popping into the Hospital prior to that and getting an information sheet would be worthwhile.
In the meantime...all the best for Friday xxx

I was told no sleeping in the same bed for 7 days.  The really important thing is your sweat and bodily fluids, the radiation comes out in urine, sweat, tears, etc., so you might get a plastic "drop cloth" from home depot and put it under your sheets, this will prevent any body fluids from getting in to your mattress. Then when the 7 days are up, you can wash the sheets and throw the plastic away.   Ask your doctor, he will know best, the radiation standards for RAI have changed in the last several years.
