A progesterone deficiency can cause a miscarriage in the early weeks of a pregnancy which is what happened to me. Also a progesterone defiiency can cause autoimmune diseases, so you may want to look into having your hormones checked. I have learned that blood tests may not reveal progesterone deficiency (as in my case), however I went to a natural/homeopathic specialist who tests hormones using your saliva. The solution is then natural progesterone cream, not synthetic progesterone ( there is a huge difference). Hormones can do many strange things and come to think of it, all of my thyroid issues began to surface after my miscarriage. I hear it is commonCommon cold that womenWomen's way experience thyroid issues during or following a pregnancy or miscarriage due to the change in hormones.
