I had a total thyrodectomy  19 years ago from having thyroid cancer. i am taking synthroid.2mg.

I would suggest that you ask your doctor to perform a 2 hour glucose test on you and include testing your fasting insulin level and then your insulin level at the one hour & two hour mark.

High levels of insulin in your system can cause fatigue, irritability, and weight gain among other things.  Even if your blood glucose (sugar) readings are normal, you can still have very high amounts of insulin floating around in your body.  This is called insulin resistance because the cells are becoming resistant to the insulin your body is producing.  So, your body makes more insulin to compensate.  Eventually your cells take in what they need to control your blood sugar, but you are left with excess insulin in your system that causes numerous symptoms.

I had irritability, fatigue, stomach problems, brain fog, clumsiness, confusion, inability to lose weight and I finally got my doctor to run the insulin test and discovered mine was extremely high.  Once I corrected my insulin, my symptoms all improved dramatically.

I'm sure there are others on here that will be able to offer you some other things that you may need tested for.  I hope you can get some answers soon.

You may want to do the saliva test for adrenal function as well, low functioning adrenals can have many of the same symptoms as hypo and is not an uncommon problem with hypo folks
