thyroid medication with food/ GERD

Hello,
I have been taking dessicated thyroid medicine for the last 4 months. I usually take it 6 am and go back to sleep. Since my last increase, about a month ago, I started to have a very dry mouth and chronic migraines that have not stopped. A week ago I started to feel something stuck in my throat, but there is nothing there. Plus, last night I woke up due to a stomach pain, right below my chest. Post nasal drip got worse too.
I was doing some research and it seems to be GERD. I remember when taking vitamins I had to quit  because of the acid reflux that I got afterwards.
Yesterday I started to take my medicine when I wake up, not going back to sleep and waiting half an hour to have breakfast. Not feeling any different.
I think it might be the medicine causing the Gerd and I was wondering if I could take it with food to minimize the acid reflux. Would this affect the medicine's absorbtion? Any idea how would this affect my treatment?
I have an appointment to see a doctor  this week, he is not the one treating me for hypo though.

Thanks!

Thanks for the input.
No, I do not have a goiter.
It is just that I thought because medicines (in general) usually give me acid reflux I would probably feel better if I took my thyroid medicine with food to lessen my symptoms.
I guess is not good at all take them with food...

Just as long as you don't take the medication anywhere near your thyroid meds you should be ok.
There are many people here who have GERD too and have trouble, but I think it is not the thyroid medication or the thyroid disease causing that, but a separate issue.
I used to get it only when pregnant. I found drinking milk helped ease it, but that may not work for you.

Do you have a goiter? This can often start as a feeling in the throat of something being there but not.
You really need to  wait at least a full hour after taking thyroid meds before eating too.
