The testsd indicates hypothyroidism. The prescribed meds to lower the 6.2 reading which I assume is your Thyroid Stimulating Hormone count.

Please post more on your situation if you can.

Sounds to me like they want your labs ran again to make sure there was no error on the first draw.

Do you have a copy of your labs that were done already? I would get then and post them here if you want so others can see the actual levels and make more definitive suggestions.

As for the weight gain and other symptoms - these stereotypes of which ones are hyper and which are hypo are for majority speaking. Many can lose weight as Hypo and weight with Hyper.

But the majority of thyroid patients fall opposite of that. You may just be made up inside that you will gain being hyper if that truly is the case.

Let's see what your labs say.

I was hyperthyroid and gained 16 kgs which is roughly 36 lbs lol.
Forget the fallacy of losing weight when Hyper.
I have been hypo and not gained weight either.
Everybodys metabolism is different.

I was 52kgs prior to diagnosis, went to 71kgs while on anti-thyroid meds and 8 months Post RAI, I am now 65.9kgs and am not trying to lose the weight.
The weight will come off when the levels are stable.

A lot 'forget' that before diagnosis they were  "HYPER weight " and will never go back to that weight most of the time.

I'd rather have a few extra kilograms than the he// before RAI.
Before diagnosis over the years, sometimes my weight would drop and people used to think I was anorexic when in actual fact I was a junk food junkie lol.
