I finally got my thyroid tests back. tshPituitary and tsh Tsh:3.97, t4T4 test free 0.70, t4T4 test thyroxine 9.2, t7: 2.4@k, t3uptake 27@J, anti thyroglob <20 ( s ) everything else was within normalNormal saline flush parameters.. ie B 12 etc.
doc says my blood sugar was 118 and wants me to have some test tomorrow that takes a couple hours... also said my potassium was low. there are a lot of test results, several pages worth, but these were my concern. he put me on 50mcg of synthroid, told me to get my potassium up with diet and said he believes I am depressed.. and wants me to take wellbutrinWellbutrin Wellbutrin sr Wellbutrin xl at least for a while. does all this seem reasonable? i told him i would not be depressed if i felt better than "hit by a train" all the time! i guess i will try the wellbutrin temporarily. what do y'all think? Is he on track?
I wouldn't take wellbutrin again if you put a gun to my head.
I'm sure it works well for some people, but I took it a few years back and that is my opinion. I would explore other brands.
I don't know what any of those numbers up there mean without the lab's normal ranges, but the TSH is MAYBE a little high and your free T4 must be low or you wouldn't be put on Synthroid. I never even heard of T7...
Sorry, not much help.
Hope the Synthroid makes you feel better.
