Do you have a thyroid issue? What type of medication are you on?
I'm getting terrible cramps at night in my leg. Last night it was in my thigh and I couldn't walk or move it was so pain full. That was the fist for having a cramp in my thigh. I was ready to call 911 I just couldn't move the pain was that bad.
I also put on weight with each increase in my medication. I'm not hungry and haven't increased my eating. I can go all day without being hungry. But I can't get the weight off other than fasting for a couple of days I just can't drop a pound. I've put on 40 pounds and it's impossible to get off.
We all have a thyroid gland, but they don't always work well. Have you had any tests done on your thyroid, to determine its actual function? Such as an ultra sound, or blood tests to determine your current levels?
Get tested for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4; those are the hormones that will give an indication of whether or not, your thyroid is working properly.
Please post whatever test results you might have and be sure to include reference ranges, because those vary lab to lab and must come from your own report. That will help members better assess your situation and make further comments.
Address your concerns with a physician for examination/testing. Ultrasound or CT scan of thyroid, will determine size, abnormalities, Etc..... Wishing you well, good luck :)
