If anyone wants to chime in and disagree with me, but likely keeping someone off thyroid meds for 4 months after a total thyroidectomy is dangerous and malpractice.

I'd suggest find another endocrinologist, take your lab results and any other paperwork you have to document your condition, and just show up there with your boyfriend tomorrow morning.

Have you had any thyroid hormone blood tests?  They should have done Free T3, Free T4 and TSH tests to determine your levels.  Please post results, if you have them and be sure to include reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.

Do you have any of the typical symptoms of hypothyroidism, such as fatigue, weight gain, muscle/joint aches/pains, hair loss, etc?

We can't really know of your sleep/dream issues are thyroid related without seeing what your actual thyroid hormone levels are. While it's possible your symptoms could thyroid related, they could also be caused by other things.

I assume you had thyroid cancer?  Why have they waited so long to do the radiation?

Your symptoms could be caused by hypothyroidism; I'd certainly think you'd be hypo after 4 months with no hormones.

Have you had any thyroid blood tests done recently?  If so, please post results and be sure to include reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.
