thyroiditis and potassium

I'm in the middle of being tested for thyroid problems, after having some sore areas in the front of my neck and being diagnosed in the ER with "anterior neck phlegmon" and treated with antibiotics and steroids.  After two days, they were "puzzled" because the cat scan showed inflammation, but the thyroid ultrasound showed normal looking nodules nothing more.  I'm home now, finishing my prescribed Amoxicillin - which I noticed has clavulanate potassium added, and I've been browsing internet sites to gather information and saw that there is a link between high potassium levels and thyroid problems.  My initial thyroid blood tests came up normal, TSH 1.47, T4Free 0.95 and T3,Free 312.  my thyroglobulin antibodies were slightly high, at 21 and thyroid peroxidase antibodies were less than 10.  The next blood labs, done in the hospital, were TSH .69, free T$ 0.74 and "normal" thyroid gland antibodies.  I am still having pain and tenderness in the front of my neck, near my adams apple, have been to 2 ENT doctors who see nothing on laparoscopy except possible inflammation of lower vocal chords which he diagnosed as silent acid reflux disease.  Today my left arm felt achey, so I went to ER, but everything checked out normal. Can potassium do that?  Also, I've been taking lots of Ibuprofen because my neck is so sore, it hurts to swallow.

No, but I've had plenty of bloodwork done, looking at my WBC and ESR.  I don't know what parathyroids are, but I have been to two ENT doctors and they've examined my throat inside and out.  I have seen some slight swelling of my thyroid glands, but it goes down after I take Ibuprofen, although it's still sore to the touch and aches when I swallow
