I have had gravesGraves disease disease but I had my thyroid removed in 06. I am going through my 2nd pregnancy and I'm in my 17th week. My doc did my regularRegular insulin blood test and my tshPituitary and tsh Tsh was 22. I'm confused b/c I was on 125mg of levothroxine and my doc raised it to 200mg so my tshPituitary and tsh Tsh level should have dropped but it just got higher. He informed me they would do another blood test and that high tshPituitary and tsh Tsh levels during pregnancy can have birth defects with the baby. I'm afraid. He hasn't given me any assurance. I need advice. Why is my tshPituitary and tsh Tsh so high?
Mary J. Shomon has written a wonderful book about pregnancy and thyroid disease. Just go to Amazon and type in her name and you should be able to find it.

I am confused as to why he raised it from 125 to 200. What was your TSH before? Why did he jump so high so fast?
