tyroid TSH 0.24

my TSH 3rd generation is 0.24,, the normal is 0.47 - 4.64uIU/ml.. my doctor said im hyperthyroid and I ask my doctor if what the cause why I have hyperthyroid and he said im lack of iodine but my mother told me if you are hyper you have more iodine in your body.. what is correct? my doctor or my mother that have experience in the past hyperthyroidism.. help me..

Iodine is needed in order for the body to produce thyroid hormones. Too much iodine has a disruptive effect on the thyroid and can cause either hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.  

Is your doctor testing anything other than TSH?  You should be  having Free T3 and Free T4 tested as well.
