ultrasound report

ultrasound report

I recently had an ultra sound done on my thyroid. I was hoping you could help me understand what it means. Findings:The left 3.3 cm bipolar x 0.8 cm AP and is homogeneous without mass.
The right lobe measures 505 cm bipolar x 1.3 cm AP. In the anterior
upper pole there is a 3 mm hypoechoic nodule likely an incidental hypoplastic nodule.
Impression: Asymetric prominence of the right lobe containing single 3 mm nodule.
Any insight would be great . Thanks

I am horrible with this and I myself was trying to figure out a report the other day. I went online to a medical dictionary and looked up one word at a time and sort of decyphered it out as best I could. You always can ask the Dr too!  Just today I questioned my Dr about my path report from my thyroid removal... he said he'd get a copy from the surgeon and call me to break it down.  HTH and good luck!
