I meant to say: "without" any condition.
I agree with Tamra's response. Thyroid nodules are very common and sometimes they appear with any condition and can be hereditary. It will be wise to have a sono and biospsy done every 6mos to monitor the size and condition of the nodule.
Are you having any symptoms that can point to thyroid issues????
The nodule is very small and not to worry. It might be too small to even biopsy. I had four last year, all bigger than yours. Once the nodule is over 2.0 cm, then surgeons suggest removing it. If you are hypothyroid, then thyroid hormone replacement can shrink the nodule.
Do you have these blood labs to share?
TSH, FT3, FT4, TGab, TPOab, TSI
We can help you interpret your levels.
