I had nerve damage after my TT 3 years ago. It affected my voice, breathing and swallowing liquids. I could talk, but only a couple of words at a time because of the breath that it took to get the words out. I too, couldn't shout - which made my kids happy! I was sent directly to an ENT doc the next day and found that my vocal cords were not moving. Was told that nerve damage can take up to a year to repair itself! However, within a month, things started to improve. One of my vocal cords is now moving at 100%, the other is at 90%. The only time I notice it is when I sing and try to hit high notes.
Give it a little bit of time and see if it improves. If it isn't better within a month or so, you may want to have your doctor refer you to an ENT, who can look at your vocal cords and see what's going on.
Don't worry, it can a few weeks for things to settle down. When they do a TT they shove a tube down your throat to make you breathe. This often bruises the vocal chords and in they can swell up. You'll be back to shouting real soon!
If you find after a long time that it still hasn't settled (which I am confident it will) then talk to your doctor. You say you can talk normally and that is a good sign. If your nerves were damaged you would only have a pip squeak or a whisper.
Cheers!
