wanting to learn more

I have been on synthorid for 17 yr.  just 3 months ago my dr. put me on 25 cytomel just this last week raised it to 50 i have been on it for 4 days now. I feel a little nervous sometimes but dont have any problem sleeping. My question is  wasnt that a little fast to double it and how much longer untill i know if its to much?

No, cytomel is very short lived, meaning half-life is 2 1/2 days and
absorbed in few hours. Whereas Liothyronine (Synthroid/Levoxyl) absorbs in approx 6 1/2 days.


Cytomel, levels should be checked 3-4 weeks versus every 6 weeks for  Liothyronine (Synthroid/Levoxyl).  So Cytomel doses can be made every 3 to 4 weeks, however, I'd prefer every 4 weeks.
