by zelda7477, Apr 11, 2008 06:27AM
hello! feb. 20 i had my baby by c-section 2 wks after that i started experiecing symptoms. on march 25 they did a blood test and they said i had hyperthyiodism. during that time they also said i had an infection gave me anitbiotics.  my lip at that time started to swell up. and has continued to do so. now my bottom lip is swollen my nose is swollen my tongue is now swollen. i just took the iodione pill test yesterday. i saw my pics. they are all black. what does this mean? i am itching all over my body for 1 wk now. and i have a rash. is this all because of the thryoid or does it sound like something else. also my head feels alot of pressure and sometimes i have a headache. also sorry, sometimes i feel like i can't breathe on the top part of the lungs. is this part of thryoid also? thank you soo much!!

Are you having an reaction to the meds that you were given??

I agree. It sounds like an allergic reaction since it started after the antibiotic.

You need to go to an urget care facility or the ER. Swelling, itching and breathing troubles are serious allergic reaction symptoms.

Don't wait any longer.
