That is one of the reasons I did not want to lower my dose, because I did not want my FT4 to dropp.
I will have bloodwork in 3 more weeks and see how I am at my current dose. We will see what happens there.
My doctor says that at two weeks of a dose change you can get accurate booldwork. I will have mine at 4 weeks.
Seems like NT is having the same issue with many too much FT3 and not enough T4.
Yeah, I am on NT. I think I was never on old NT, because since I started to take it, last September the pill was easy to cut in half because it came with the line on it.
I have felt like in a roller coaster. But the worse came when dropping from 3 grains to 2.5
My last labs were THS: 0.00, FT3 448 (420 range max) FTT4 1.3 (1.6 range max)
So I am a little bit over with the FT3. I am now at 2.3/4 grains and feel better, joint pain went ago after a week.
I have never felt hyper.
I do not know how others tolerate medicine increases or decreases, but I am very sensitive. My first symptom is my hair, it starts to fall out.
I thought increasing was hard, hadn't experienced the decreasing yet!
If I need to go down again I will ask/suggest my doc to alternate, that is something I did not think about. Thanks.
What brand med are you taking again? Was it NT? Did you feel good on it for a while? Was this period during a new bottle that was opened , possiblly you were on old NT, now new NT?
Just going from 3 to 2.5 grains should not result in fatigue crash, especially if you were hyper. Did you have labs to support your levels?
When changing even small dessicated doses you may feel 'odd' for at least one week. So you cant judge by feel during that period.
Increasing or decreasing can be done in 1/4 grains too or 1/2 grains every other day - some are dosed in that manner by their doc..
