CT after Bentall surgery

i was diagnosed with Bicuspid aortic valve, ascending aortic aneurysm and Sever AR. i was transplanted with Bentall surgery in september 2006.now surgeon has adviced me to have CT of aorta. before that blood culture test has to be performed .
what does these blood test interpret before performing CT of Aorta?
