I am 19yrs. old now. When I was about 6 yrs. old, I developed optical herpes. I had blisters on my eyes and in my eyes. This eventually caused scarring on the cornea of my eyes. Then, when I was about 12 yrs. old, I got rigid contact lenses, which were supposed to help smooth the scars to correct my vision. I only wore the contacts for a few months and have not used them since. Now I really need to know what I can do to correct my vision. I remember the doctor talking about cornea transplants. Is this possible?
