stem cell transplant connection with MS?
I am a multiple time stem cell donor. I have learned that the recipient recovered from the cancer with the treatments but has MS. Considering that stem cells are thought to be a possible cure for MS should I look into the possibility of having it myself as my cells offered no reprieve? I am young and do get occasional muscle cramps mostly in my toes and neck but exhibit no other relevant symptoms. I have occasional shaking hands but only when using a rescue inhaler.

Hi,
The cause of Multiple sclerosis is not clear and there is no single test that is proof-positive for diagnosing it .However, there may be a familial predisposition  and it is best that you discuss this with your attending physician for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
