I have had a discomfort on the left side of my face (cheek). I have had it for two months now. It comes and goes. It does not affect my daily activities, and it is not a constant pain. It does irritate my left eye sometimes, making it watery. I had a cat scan of the sinuses and a brain MRI, which show nothing. I researched trigeminal nerve, but I do not have excruciating pain and it does not hurt when I touch my face. I researched Bells Palsy, but there is no numbness or paralysis. Also researched teeth issues, but I do not have root canals or cavities. I am 40 year old male. Also ruled out MS. What else could it be?
Sounds like you've had a bunch of tests already. What are your doctors saying?
There are a variety of facial pain diseases. My suggestion would be to find a Facial Pain specialist -- these are docs that deal with facial pain patients on a daily basis. You can usually find one at a large teaching hospital in the nearest big city.
Let us know what you find out -- your story may help someone else here on the website.
I have the exact same thing. I am so frustrated and have been to three doctors. Am now going to Shands in Gainesville next week. Do you have anymore information or symtpoms? Sonja
