I'm only speaking from experience. I have had several sugeries for TN pain. I can't have anything to touch my face it will start shocking. I would think having anything on your cheek would trigger trigeminal neuralgia. Make sure you go to your neuro doctor who can help you...I'm not sure what will get you back to normal. I've had my TN for 7 years.
Good Luck!
