Trigeminal neuralgia after trilevel cervical desectomy with fusion

by Yafffie, Jan 29, 2009 07:36AM
Mimi:  I agree with you.  I think I developed TN after I had my surgery.  The dentist said there was nothing wrong with my teeth, but the pain is horrific.  I started working anbd now had to stop again.  What did you do for the pain?

I've had the exact same surgery and developed TN on the right side of my face with the exact same symptoms discussed here! Please tell me what's helped you with managing the pain and symptoms?

Hi:  Sorry for the late reply.  I was in a car accident the day you emailed.
Two things may have worked for me.  I'm off all medication now.  Its been 2 months.
1. B-12, nuggets.  I take 3 Solgar Brand 1000 mg nugets sublingually every night.

2.  Dont laugh.  I think my symptoms started improving either because of the B-12 or because....I was getting something out of the back seat of my car and I accidentally bumped my head as I was trying to get my head out of the car.  It pushed my head forward, right at the head, after that things started getting better, but not sure which came first, the B-12 or the head bump.  I repeatedly head bump at least once a week by accident.  I work out of my car and am always getting things out of my trunk and back seat.

Good Luck to you.  Email me if you need to talk.
