suicide disease

Why did someone call my diagnosed "severe right-sided trigemnal neuralgia", the suicide disease?

From what I've read in my research, some people get severely depressed because the pain interferes so much in their life.

If I may make a suggestion, find the a teaching hospital in the nearest large city and see if they have a facial pain center.  Doctors at these centers see lots of trigeminal neuralgia patients and know how to diagnose and treat you.
