Our First Baby TTC

My partner and I have been trying for a baby for a year now, I have had my 21day blood test which came back fine and my partner has had his sperm count done, he gets the results on Thursday.

What will happen if his sperm count is fine and I ovulate every month?

Will they recommend anything to help us?

Any advice would be greatful

Thank you, they found lots of sperm which is great news so there is hope for us yet :) just in all the sperm there are unwanted abnormal ones.

I hope we don't have to wait to long for our letter and appointment, its just the waiting game now I guess.

My fingers are crossed for you, let me know how everything goes x x

I had my d&c yesterday and I feel great today. I can't wait until my 2nd cycle starts so I can do another IUI. I figure that will be in late August or September.

When we went for our 1st consultation with the re he told us male infertility issues are the easiest fixes and that as long as they could find some sperm they can get you pregnant. Good luck at the fertility clinic. I hope they get you your bfp soon.

Hello, I'm really sorry to hear, will you keep me informed?

My partner had the call from the doctor and he has a high sperm count but he has some abnormal sperm as well. He is going to refer us to a ferility clinic for more advice.

Not sure what this means to be honest as he has a normal sperm count

Well unfortunately it was how the doctor expected and he still saw only a sac and no baby. I am getting a d&c on Friday and that doctor will do one more u/s just to confirm my doctor's findings before she performs it. I now have to wait until my 2nd period to start another IUI cycle. The nurse said that the fact that I got pregnant is still a very good thing because it means I will most likely get pregnant again. Good luck with your test results. Let me know how everyting turns out. You are so young so I am betting they will find something to help you succeed. SSBD to you!!!

If they didn't do a hsg test on you yet, they might want to do that to make sure your tubes aren't blocked and there are no abnormalties in your uterus. If they do all the testing and cannot find anything wrong with you or your partner they will most likely diagnose you with unexplained infertility. This is what happened to me and the doctor said I was better off with this than if they did find a problem because I am more likely to respond better to treatment if I have no known issues. He recommended I do 3 IUI attemps with clomid and if they didn't work then move on to IVF. I got pregnant on my first IUI attempt. This is after ttc for 12 months without help and with no luck. Unfortunately my u/s last week doesn't show any development with the baby so I am waiting for another u/s tomorrow to see if I might lose this pregnancy. If so, I will either do another IUI or IVF. I think my problem was that somehow the sperm wasn't getting to the cervix.

Good luck. I hope they find nothing wrong with you and give you the help you need to successfully conceive.
