Prenatal vitamins? Need advice

Hey ladies. The ones who keep up with my story know that I have been taking bcp. I have only taken it for a month but I had recently stopped. I couldn't take the side affects. It was nothing severe I just didn't like the way they made me feel. The other reason I stop taking them is because I got so so confused. I have a 21day pack. I started taking them the first day of my cycle. I took then everyday at the same time. The directions said after you finish a pack wait a week then start a new pack which should be the first day of your next cycle. I got confused cause my cycle started a week early than what is wa supposed so that through me off. So when that following week came and I was supposed to start the next pack I didn't. I didn't know if that would mess it up or if that would have any effect on it. Wednesday January 18 was the day I was supposed to start the new pack bit I didn't because of the confusion I had. I just decided to stop taking it completely. I'm now gonna start taking prenatal vitamins. I'm gonna go ahead and buy them but I'm not fonna gonna actually start taking them for another month or two. My question is what prenatal vitamin should I get? I don't know much about them so I wouldn't know what to buy. I do know that I can't have nothing with vitex in it due to my fibroids. Which prenatal vitamins should I get? Someone please answer. I need the support of my mh sistahs.

I always get my prenatals at Costco. They are super cheap and usually don't have additives.
Any prenatal is good but if you need a specific one then you will just have to do your homework for the ones that don't have that vitex.

I think you were confused about when you were supposed to get your period. You should have taken your pill for 3 weeks....the 4th week you would have your period, then you take the pill again and start the 4 week cycle all over again. You thought it was a week early but it was coming on time because the week you don't take pills is the week you get your period. So yes, waiting that extra week would have messed everything up.

I'm not fully aware of your story. I take it the bcp were meant to help regulate your periods and make it easier to become pregnant when the cycles were on track. The prenatal vits I've used have been the target brand, rainbow brand, and more recently a prescription brand. I thought the rainbow brand had more essential ingredients at the right mg, but caused an upset tummy sometimes. Target brand was much easier on my stomach.
on a side note If your cycles are off I'd encourage you to have your thyroid checked as well. I learned a low or high level can throw off cycles, as in my case. Good luck!!
