Should I test??

So I have been ttc for what seems like forever and I think this might finally be it but I don't want to get my/or my hubbys hopes up and end up with a bfn. So heres the deal Last month I had two days of barely there spotting. Like just a few drops of "brownish blood" I took a hpt and it was negative :( Then three days later I got a very, very light period with brown blood for exactly one day. So maybe I took the test too early? It was one of the dollar cheap kinds (tired of wasting money lol) and lately I have been sort of nauseous and my boobs are kind of sore and things taste WEIRD. However lots of things could cause stuff like that. But this month nothing. There is some brownish discharge when I wipe but that's it and I should have started already. So should I test?? Or should I not?? My best friend says if there is any type of blood regardless of how light or what colord that Im not pregnant. Is she right? Cant blame me for hoping and dreaming though right??

I agree....everyone is different! Brown blood is not your period....you need to count a period as a "flow" of blood...like filling up a pad or tampon.
You could test....how late are you?

i had pink spotting the day af was due with my dd i finally got a postive 3 days later. My sister had what she thought was a period before testing postive with her son. Everyone is different and some women do actually,,spot or even bleed while pregnant. you just never know.

if af is due i would test!!  good luck!! baby dust to you!!
