?? undiagnosed pain in lower right aabdomen?? appendix?

I am a 25yr old female with 2 children, I have had sharp pain in my lower right abdomen where your ovaries are located, i have had an ultrasound to see about my ovaries for cysts and such but it clear and normal. I have had the pain on and off since August!! Its been 7 months and the pain is horrible sometimes, i have asked about my appendix and they shrug me off saying It wouldn't last this long! Well what else could it be. Its always pretty much there. Coughing doesnt hurt sneezing doesnt hurt it stomach workouts dont hurt it. Nothing makes it worse. If I pushh down exactly where it hurts and i let go it only hurts a lil more. I want my appendix checkedd bc I would like to get pregnant again soon but don't want to deall with this while pregnant! My Aunt lives with chronic appendictis and she has had it for years (i dont no why she doesn''t get it taken out hahha she says she wont until she absoululty has too) anyways anyone else go through this and it be your appendix?? I have no fevers or  hot flashes or sweats. I do get very nauseous at times and indegestion. I also get weird bubbly sensation in that area as well. The pain can and will radiate to my belly button ocassoinally. My gastro doc said it was just my IBS. But I don''t think so anymore. I have already had my gallbladder taken out in emergency and I don't want that again that was horrific pain! And I am terrified this pain will get bad too and I have 2 young  children

Well, I kind of figured he would say that. It is possible that it isn't appedicitis. Good luck with the CT. I hope they figure it out.

Well just finished talking to my GI doctor I explained everything pretty much shrugged me off and told me I don't have it. She told me to take some medication so i practically begged for her to do a test and she said she would but it would more than likely come up normal. So i have to schedule a ct scan from there! Just so frustrated with doctors I wish they would listen to you and not look at ther damn text books for answers. So i know this sounds bad but I hope they find something or my appendix is inflammed the day I get it done.

It could be your appedix. It is a bit low but maybe it is radiating downward. Your description isn't gross to me it is very good. I'm used to hearing a lot from my profession, though I'm not working due to back pain and wrist tendonitis. Tell you doctor exactly the description you told me last. It might help him decide what it is. I hope nothing happens either. You can go to the ER if it is serious. But I hope nothing will change unless for the better.

ya my doc hasn't called me back yet and I have left two messages to make an appt. But yes I had  flex sig down on my lower intestinal track and everything looked great. The more stories I read about chronic appendicitis is what it sounds like what I have espiecally the woman. The pain I always have is in my lower right abdomen where you would feel like ovarian cysts but a lil more to the right, that pain is almost always there now. When my pain gets severe for whatever reason it goes to the right of my belly button and down about 4inches of my right thigh kinda like if someone was tugging at a muscle but more pulling it and stretching it the pain is sharp and I feel a burning senstation right where my pain is always at. sorry for tmi but when I have a boewel movement now the pain intensfies while pushing sorry haha just in that specific spot as well. I guess I will have to wait and see and hope nothing happends from now until monday. so I can see my doc!

I dont' know if they will do the appendix removal if they don't know for sure that is what it is.And, you don't really want surgery in the wrong place if it isn't need. But,  in adults it seems to come and go then it finally gets bad. My brother and sister in law both had theirs a long time too and were denied having it removed. My brother in law's burst then they removed and left it open to the air (I thought was undbelievable) but it was the right way to do it apparently when it bursts. I don't know if that is what you have for sure since the pain isn't in the right place (originally in the pelvic area. Have you had a lower GI of the intestines? You said the pain travels down your leg up to your belly button. Where does it originate in the leg? Or in the belly buttom and down towards the leg? I hope your GI doctor will listen to you this time about your description of the pain. I would have to write you a long letter (message) to tell you all the stuff I went through in my 20's to get diagnosed with a migraine. Since I didn't have the headache (at the time) the GI doctor did test after test for several years and gave up. That should tell you something. I think when women go in by themselves they think we are crazy or have anxiety (which did cause my migraines LOL). But all the studies are done on men so they hardly know what a women's heart attack is like. I hope you find out soon and get out of this pain. I'm so sorry.

Also the pain I feel is a stinging burning pain as well as this pain like something is ripping inside. I had a full work up at ER for ovaries and urine and that was all normal.

Ya i origanally thought it was a cyst bc i am prone to those so the first Er trip they said they saw fluid in my right ovary so I thought ok so its a cysts and they also said there was a mass on my right side but couldn't tell what it was. So they told me to follow up with my doc in 3 months for an ultrasound to see if they saw the mass again. Well i did my ultrasound like 3 weeks ago and it was clear no mass was found and I was still in a great deal of pain. I then asked again about my appendix and they said it wouldn't last that long and kinda laughed at me I said well my aunt lives with chronic appendicitis and that kinda shut  them up but didn''t help me any. My pain is increasing and lasting all day and night now. I called my gastro doc yesterday and left a message im am trying to see if they will take it out, i dont want this to turn into an emergency my husband works an hour away and I have 2 young children and watching another. I don't know what to do this pain will get really bad where pain travels down my right leg and up to my belly button. Last night it was actually bad enough I couldn't sleep and got about 3 -4 hours of sleep. Thanks for responding!

It does sound like it could be the appendix. They can be chronic for a while then get suddenly urgent. Also, did the ultrasound check for fibroids? You are young for them though. I had nasea, fever and stomach pain with my appedix but it was to the right of the belly button not low down like you are mentioning. So, I'm not sure it isn't something else. I have my appendix out. The doctors can tell somewhat from a blood test but not always if your appendix is acutely bad. The only other thing besides intestinal problems would be pelvic inflammatory disease .

Dear Messymessmama,
Good to see that you are quite motivated for third child, but also concern about you 2 young childrens..
Its not that serious problem, please perform your stool test for worms, if you have some, then the treatment is simple using the worms tablets as per advise of your doctor..
