15 and worried about my health

10/28/10
Hello, I'm a fifteen year old girl.  This month of October 2010, I've been experiencing some strange problems in my lower abdomen/pelvic region.  I'm scared because it's been going on for almost a month now.  It all started on October 2nd.  My pelvis felt weird, pressurized, or uncomfortable.  I've never experienced bloating before, and my mom just said it sounded like I was having some bloating.  So I thought it would go away, but it still remained 24 hours of the day for TWO and a half WEEKS.  I have currently stopped feeling the pressure/bloatedness.  And during the discomfort, I was merely constipated.  So now that that has stopped, I am feeling pains in my lower left pelvis.  One of the days, my lower left pelvis would hurt; it felt kind of like a subtle stab, yet it was fairly tolerable.  It would only hurt when I'd walk or extend my left leg.  It went the next day.  Then a few days later, I felt an aching pain in my lower left pelvic region (the same place) and it would come & go throughout the day.  It felt like a tight squeeze, then release of pain.  It lasted for 2 days.  So this was after my bloating went.  Now, I've been feeling like I have to urinate more frequently that I used to.  I used to be able to sleep the whole night without urinating until the morning, but now I have to go to the restroom way earlier. I'll just be sitting there in class and I'll have the urge to go pee, but I'd have went pee like 20 minutes earlier.  So that's kinda freaking me out.  AND NOW, ontop of all of that,  Yesterday (the 27th), I was running the mile in PE (which isn't abnormal) and right beside my bellybutton and in that region on the left side, everytime I would land on my left foot, it felt like there was something hollow in there, or pressurized just in that region.  The best way I could describe it as is like a running cramp  but lower in the left abdomen region.  And after school on the ride home, the car kinda was bumpy & in that SAME AREA, it started hurting.  It felt like a tube was in my left lower abdomen and it just hurt really bad.  I don't know that it is and I'm really scared.  As ridiculous as it sounds, I am worried that I have Ovarian Cancer.  Please help out asap.  My dad is unemployed with no work and we can't afford to go to the doctor's just yet.  Please help.  Thanks

Dude, I've been to my doctor's free clinic.  All they say is take some pain medication.  They're stupid & careless.  Why do you say to go to a planned parenthood?
When I say PELVIS I dont mean my vagina.  I mean my abdomen.  I've never done anything with guys. so yeah.

I f you are sexually active this may be a sign of an STD such as chlamydia. If you are not, it sounds as if there may be a cyst on your ovary. It may also be an infection. Pay close attention to your cycles, you may also simply be feeling ovulation and also feel the ovum pass thru the fallopian tube. In any case, you need to be checked by a doctor. Most health departments will see you and give you a pelvic exam without parents consent and there will be no charge. Good luck and take good care of yourself.

first, if you dont have any kind of health coverage, your parents need to get you some. if theyre not working, there should be no problem going to the local welfare office and applying for benefits. they may or may not qualify for foodstamps and cash assistance, but they should have no problem getting you health coverage. every state usually gives it to anyone under 19 that doesnt have any.. your parents can also find a community or public health clinic to take you to. theyre affordable, sometimes even free.. also, if you go to an emergency room, they have to see you, and they have financial assistance programs to take care of most, sometimes all, of your bill. with that being said, you could have a few different problems. it could be your appendix, you could be having a bowel problem, you could have a cystic growth on your ovary (but theres usually other 'female problems' with that one).. theres a few different things in that area, but if it has been going on for a while, its important to get it checked because it could become a serious problem. also, most states have planned parenthood, you can usually get a female checkup there for free or cheap.. but theres lots of options in the community for the low income and homeless. go to a search page, like yahoo, type in your city and state and things like low income community clinic. there will be web results that can help you get medical care, like this one-

but get to a dr, because it could be or become serious.. and i really doubt its cancer. when you know somethings wrong but you dont know what, you can easily freak out.. and if youre 15, youre gonna have a lot of things to worry about in the next few years, you shouldnt have to add this problem to the list.
