hi! im an 18 year old male and this exact same thing with the lumps on the right side of the groin is happening to me. i was curious to know what the results were from the doctor regarding your lumps by your gorin??
Thank you Doctornee Medical,
I just got a call from the doctor saying the x-ray of my back and collar bone were fine, do you think I should still go in to have the lumps checked? They are located in the v line where the legs meet the hips on each side but I found them by chance and I could of had them forever and not known about it
Hi! Since you have small lumps it can either be swollen lymphnodes or neurofibromas. Swollen lymph nodes in the groin could be due to STDs (e.g., gonococcal infection, herpes simplex virus, syphilis, chancroid, granuloma inguinale, lymphogranuloma venereum etc), infection in foot, dermatitis in pelvic area, boils in pelvic area etc.
Swollen lymph nodes across multiple areas (like you have near your collar bone) or generalized lymphadenopathy can be due to viral infections such as mono or EBV or cytomegalovirus or due to bacterial infections like TB. HIV or AIDS, leukemia, lymphomas and other cancers can also be a cause. This could also be due to inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. It is difficult to determine the cause on net. This is not something you should ignore. Please consult your doctor. Take care!
