2 small cysts on my liver very worried

Hello had a follow up with the doctor this morning and he said my ultrasound of the kidneys and bladder was unremarkable which is good thank goodness. But he said the only thing on the catscan of abdomin (abdomen) and pelvis was 2 small cysts on my liver. I came home and did a little bit of reasearch but not sure I understand the doctor wasnt concerned about it but I am now without a biopsy how can he be sure it is a cyst and not something worse like cancer? Please anyone with info help me understand I am a nervous wreck. I had a ct scan done back in nov or dec of 2005 and the cysts were not there then so why are they there now? How do they form should I seek a second opinion? Sorry for all the questions just scared.

hi, i dont know anything about your symptons but i just thought id reply anyway as you sound so worried.im sure someone will be able to help you when they read your post,im sure the dr would have had you in hospital if he thought it was serious.i know what its like to have no replys when your worried about something you post.try and stay positive,take care elfx

I had a ct scan for something else and they found hepatic cysts on my liver. My son-in-law is an MD, and I asked him about it, and he said, "No big deal. They won't do any harm." Is this what you have?

thanks for the comment and yes I have 2 small 3mm low density lesions on my liver that the radiologist said was to small to classify so they were going with cyst. I called my doctor back because I was so worried and he said do not be worried I told him the ct scan I had in December didnt show any lesions or anything everything was normal and all he said was he didnt know about that. and if it would make me feel better he would repeat in about 6mo but if I know me this is going too drive me insane thinking it might develope into something bigger or deadly. I have 2 kids and am only 26 years old it makes me want to cry where did it come from? thanks again

Hi,  I am so sorry that you are worried and anxious.  I know exactly what you mean as I am going through the same thing but with a more serious condition.  I know it is easier said than done but the more worrying you do the more sick you will make yourself.  I wasn't sleeping, had nausea and was eating everything in sight.  Gained 7 lbs. I was getting obsessive with looking things up in the internet.  Had to stop.  Not good for me.   I had a good talking with myself and realized all I had to do was give my worries to God and he will help me.  It is not the outcome I worry about but it's the not knowing that is so horrible.  I will keep you in my prayers as I hope you will do for me.  God bless you.

First to Ceil thanks you seem like a very kind hearted person I will keep you in my prayers also. I do know looking things up is not good for me but right at the moment I cant seem to help myself. Thanks again for your kindness.
I just got off the phone with the imaging center that took the ct scan and here is what they said on the report. Liver is overall normal in size and density there are 2 3mm well circumscribed low density lesions on my left lobe to small to classify so they are speculating cyst. I am not exactly sure as to what that all means since I did not go to medical school but I just cant take a dont worry about it from my doctor would he not worry if it were him? Anyway just wanted to put this out here I go to the GI specialist tomorrow at 9am and will let you know what avenue I will go down with him.
