Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Since you have stomach problems and you can never get the iron level corrected completely, it would be good if you could test stool for occult or hidden blood. The various causes of bleeding from the gut are bleeding pepticCause of peptic ulcers Location of peptic ulcers Peptic relief Peptic ulcer or duodenalPeptic ulcer ulcer, IBS, ulcerative colitisColitis Irritable bowel syndrome Ischemic colitis Necrotizing enterocolitis Salmonella enterocolitis Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. If you are suffering from any of these you will have constant anemia, digestive problems, a duodenal ulcer can cause pain under your right rib, and the anemia will cause generalized aches and pains. A GI doctor or gastroenterologist or the doctor who looks after our gut is the best person who can help you with this.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Maybe you can seek another opinion from another doctor than the one you are currently seeing. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
