Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Generally diaphragmatic irritation can lead to frequent hiccups or even burps. Liver and gall bladder problems too can irritate the right diaphragm. Also electrolyte imbalance could be the cause. Hence get your serum electrolytes done.
The other reason could be due to esophageal reflux (GERD), where the food in your stomach is thrown up into your food pipe or esophagus. This also causes burning sensation or discomfort in the chest area. Another possibility is hiatal hernia, where a portion of stomach herniates into the chest cavity through the diaphragm.
It could also be due to gas. Take care!
You might try staying away from fried or fatty foods, coffee, spicy foods, onions tomatoes and high acid foods for a while to see if this helps you. I find if I do have fatty foods or chocolate or spicy foods I pay for it later that day or evening.
