6 day complete body rash on child?

I am searching for any help or ideas. On Sunday my 11 year old otherwise healthy daughter had a bad headache and a very red face. I thought she was just hot as the day was a warm spring day (high 60s). The next morning she woke up with a slight rash, I didnt think much, and sent her to school. Monday morning she was incredibly swollen in the face and had a thick red rash on her face, arms, belly and back. She told me that the previous day she was dizzy and fell down due to it. I took her to her Dr. who said she had measles. She is fully vaccinated. Wednesday the communicable health nurse said the dr. recanted and said it was a viral rash, and should disappear within 24-48 hours of when we saw her early Tuesday morning. Today, (Friday) she is covered (on the trunk of her body, arms, legs, face and neck) with a thick red rash. I took her to ER because her face was so swollen it was dimpled in areas. ER did  blood tests (cbc was fine) and said they didn't know what it was, but that it looked like an allergic reaction. I can't think of anything new introduced to her life over the past month, and why would the rash last 5 going on 6 days (7 if you count Sunday?) Any thoughts?? Thank you in advance!

You can post pics on here....or even a link to the pics.

Was contact dermatitis ruled out (you haven't changed soaps or detergents)?  My son is allergic to Tide laundry soap and has ended up in the ER twice for a rash similar to what you describe.  But I'm almost certain the ER would have been able to recognize something as simple as that.

Any pustules or itching associated with the rash, like poison ivy or oak, etc.?

They checked for strep, it was negative. They also said that it wasn't the rosecea (christmas tree one?). Somebody mentioned it, I asked at the hospital and they said that it doesn't have the characteristic pattern.

I do have pics, are we allowed to post them here?

Try checking the net for Pityriasis Rosea ( they call it the Christmas tree rash).  My son had it, but didn't have swelling and headaches with it, but I think you can.  If that is what it is, it will go away in a few weeks, and it is not contagious.  It is similar to chicken pox, and you can only get it once in your life.  Oatmeal baths helped him.
