A small bump under skin and slight discoloration

I realized a few nights ago that i felt a very small bump under my skin on theright side of my neck. There is also a slight pink discoloration around the spot. Lately,  my neck has felt a bit sore on that side as well and a feel a bit feverish possibly. I have no idea what any of this means, but i'm beginning to worry if it may be cause for concern. If you have any information that may help me, please reply. Thank you.

any kind of bump that appers should be wached. if at any time it becomes warm, gets bigger by day it needs attention from a doctor. my sister had what she thought was a painfull pimple and it grew to six inch long and 2 inch wide befor she went to see a doctor. it tested postive for what is called marsa. it has cleared up with hospital stay for 5 days with very strand meddican. i didn't even know what marsa was and that it even existed till now. aperintly there is an outbrack of it.

Is it a pimple coming on?  If it persists a few weeks then get it checked out.
If you are a man and shave it could be an ingrown hair or scar tissue from a previous one.
Good luck.
