I am diabeticDiabetes education Diabetes foot care Diabetic blood circulation in foot Diabetic emergency supplies Diabetic expectorant Diabetic foot care Diabetic hyperglycemic hyperosmolar coma Diabetic ketoacidosis Diabetic nephropathy Diabetic neuropathy Diabetic retinopathy and taking amaryl. My doctor, an internist, added ActosActos about 2 months ago. About 2 weeks after that I started having needle sticking feelings in my left abdomen. Then I had pain, a feeling of being full, hardness in my upper abdomen area, feeling pressurePressure ulcer like something heavy on that area, chillsChills, shakes, heart palps, etc. My glucoseFasting glucose tolerance test Glucose test Glucose test - blood Glucose tolerance test Oral glucose tolerance test levels had gone down but were normal during the shaky times. I told my doctor I thought this was a side effect of the Actos so he said stop taking it and I had labs done and a CT scan which were all normal. I started feeling better a week later but still had a dull ache in the middle and left side of upper abdomen with occasional aches on right side. One day I had terrible stomach spasms. It lasted about half a day. I have never thrown up or felt like throwing up nor had diarrhea. For two weeks I felt better but then a few days ago I started feeling the needle feelings and now I have a heavy pressure on abdomen and achiness and chills. The heart palp and hardness are not back. Doctor now wants a stress test done to make sure my heart is okay, which he expects the test to be normal. Then he said I should see a gastrologist and be scoped. I am still wondering if the Actos is behind all this. It's been a month since I took it and I have read it can still be affecting my glucose levels for up to 2 months after stopping it. My levels have stayed down through all this. Any ideas? Thanks!
