Abnormal Feelings

I am 25 years old and for the last week, give or take ome days, I have been feeling kind of light headed, and I feel off balance while walking. I notice this because nothing like this has ever happened to me. I also have some light pains in my abdomenal area. They come and go. I dont know if it is gas or not. I am kind of worried because I dont know what it could be. I also have at times some pains in my mid to lower back I dont notice anything else, what could be the problem?

I have had the same symtoms as you all describe here, off balance lightheaded ect.. for about a month now. This morning was really bad and i'm still trying to come down from it. I started to feel very lightheaded and began getting nervous that i may pass out but never did,I was drinking coffee at the time. i almost thought i should goto the ER. Anyone else experience this feeling from coffee?

I had the same feelings about 5 months ago after ther birth of my daughter.  I felt light headed and felt dizzy.  As if i was walking on a boat all the time.  The pains in your stomach are probably just gas from the anxiety you get from feeling dizzy.  I went to several Dr.'s to try and find out what was wrong with me.  I even had a MRI.  A very expensive proceedure to find out nothing.  My neurologist finaly put me on valium and paxil.  The symptoms went away in about a week.  I am now off of the paxil do to wieght gain.  I still get dizzy or feel off balance when i am having high anxiety.  It doesnt really bother me anymore because I know that the body can do crazy things when its stressed out.  My advise to you is work out, eat healthy and get plenty of sleep.

I don't know about the abdominal pain - but sounds like you may have some inner ear stuff going on.  I always feel sort of like that and within a day or so, I get vertigo.....horrible feeling!!!!!!  Now, I pay enough attention to it that I take a Meclizine right away and that pretty much takes care of it.  I certainly wouldn't rule out allergies either - talk to your doc - Good luck

It could be allergies.  They can cause fluid to build up in your ear making you feel a bit light headed.  Also stress (due to hyperventilation) or not eating regularly. Even dehydration. Take it easy and relax.  If you actually faint or the room spins then see a doctor.
