About physical pain (not a ?)~Book Recommendation

I have seen so many posts regarding physical pain that I thought I would again recommend a book regarding trigger points.

The book is called, "The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook" Second Edition by Clair Davies, NCTMB  with Amber Davies, NCTMB

It is amazing how much trouble these trigger points can cause (that coming from someone who frequently experiences it). From pain to numbness and tingling etc.

I am into "self help" when possible. Before rushing to the doctor (and the expense involved) or panicking over aches & pains (though I would definitely say that some definitely warrant a quick trip to the Dr.), I first look into muscles or the skeletal system (both intertwined and sometimes visit my Chiropractor-free of charge; husband's uncle)and find that many pains resolve after treating them.
The book has been very helpful in regards to muscles that cause pain either in the muscle or referring pain elsewhere.
The best $13.00 I have spent. It's also a nice size book and comfortable to read (large pages).

Working on muscles is not a cure-all BUT I think they do pose problems in many cases of those who complain about them.

I believe in education and self help when possible. So, with that a book recommendation for those who suffer from or worry about aches and pains that may or are strictly related to the muscles.
A great self help reference as I think the vast majority suffer from muscle pain and referred pain on account of them, from time-to-time, if not frequently.

I second this!!!!   This book saved me from a terrible repetitve strain injury.
A lot of the book is available online, you can learn a lot without even buying it.

The website for the book is www.triggerpointbook.com

And it is based on the lifelong work of Janet Travell, who was JFK's physician, she published this info in two medical journals when she was about eighty!  But the journals themselves are expensive so Clair Davies presents the info. in layman's terms in this book.

It's awkward recommending a book online.  DON'T BUY IT THEN, just read the theory...and see if it might apply to your problem.

borninquisitive,  I too believe in self-education whenever possible.  Is there anything else that you can recommend, in any area, since we both agree about the Triggerpoint Therapy Workbook?
