Annoying girl issue's

I am 20 years old and started to have this issue ever since I was about 16. When it comes to the time of my period (before or after) I will get a bladder infection. Recently it has been the feeling of I need to urinate, burning on the outter area, and a sharp pain when I do urinate. I do not have any itching and never have. At one point I did end up going to the hospital because it was so bad. Now it is getting to the point of almost every week I have an issue. I shower every day and I do not use anything heavily scented. I can not explain how annoying this all is, I can not go out any where or do anything unless I am near a bathroom. Please help me!

Hi,

I think that this is a uti or cystitis. I have similar problems and am always getting treated for uti's in and around my period.

Go to your doctor and they will check you for this, go as soon as you can because if left untreated uti's can cause pelvic inflammatory disease which can be quite serious.

There are many good effervescent tablets for cystitis such as effercitrate which helps with the burning/stinging sensation and pain when urinating.

It may not be a uti or cystitis but if this is a recurring problem it is important to get checked and also will help ease your mind a bit.

Hope that helps :)

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Please consult a gynecologist to rule out UTI, bacterial vaginosis and if there is a history of unprotected sex, then you also need to rule out STD. Take care!

It sounds like you have a urinary track infection, it won't go away it will get worse if you don't try and get rid of it, just drink plenty of water, alot of cranberry juice, and if u don't think it helps go to the docs and they could give you some pills to help get rid of it quicker, I hope it goes away, good luck!!!!!!

Have u ever thought u had an UTI (Unrinary Track Infection) which can be very painful. My 3yr nephew had it, and all he did was cry :(
Now I am going to ask u this. Are u having unprotected sex. Because this can be a sign of an std. It sounds more like an UTI. keep me posted. I hope this was helpful.
