Big left toe nerve pain

Since 1997 I have had severe pain(every other day or so) in left big toe joint.  Have seen many drs and had several tests to no avail.  Other than pain management drs what else is there?

It could be Mortons neuroma. It affects the ball of the foot usually between the third and forth toe but sometimes the big toe perhaps. It could be gout since it is in the joint. Wear loose round toed shoes and it should get better. If it is gout you will need get a blood test for uric acid.
