Bitter taste on my lips

I don't know why...

I don't wear makeup so it's not from that.

I'm not on any meds and don't take any OTC stuff.

My diet hasn't changed.

But I have this horrible bitter taste on my lips that just won't go away. Like when you use nail polish remover and then stick your finger in your mouth by accident... only I don't wear nail polish and haven't used any polish remover. No household cleaners either...

It's just a really horrible bitter taste on my lips.

Any clues???

I've had this same thing for a long time, years.  It comes and goes, but I've never figured out why.  I have payed attention to what I'm doing at the time, using chemicals, sprays, canned air, cleaning products.  I've never had it happen during or after using something like that.  I can be doing nothing at all and suddenly my skin has this horrible taste. I can wash my hands, face, arms and it goes away for a very short time, then returns.  I work indoors, so I'm not getting doused with something from the skies.  It happens at work and at home, and other places.

I'm still hoping to find some sort of answer.  All doctors assume it is a taste in the mouth, that is not it, it's a taste on the skin!!
Driving me crazy!!!

while i can't recall the last time i used canned air (3M or otherwise) i don't remember ever having this issue anytime i've used it...(i love Google btw...where else can you search for a weird issue and find TONS of others that have posted about the SAME exact thing!?)

anyway, like i said, it's been months since i've used can air and have never experienced this but it's funny (not 'haha' funny) that ppl started mentioning canned stuff b/c i did today and it did get on my hands...we got a lot of snow here overnight and my niece broke the nozzle on the HEET de-icer can so i fanaggled it to make it work and ofc the spray got on my socks (on my hands, not my feet...hey, i had to make several trips to get that darn car door open and snow/ice off) which ofc means it got on my hands..i didn't think anything of it and washed my hands several times afterward but you never know with that stuff right? well, the can doesn't say that there's a bittering agent or anything but this weird taste on my lips (i'm afraid to lick my arms/any other skin) and i don't want to lick/taste my fingers b/c it could be one other thing...

also today...my hands were dry (from the spray stuff and all the washing) so i used the closest lotion i could find...some gingerbread latte body souffle that my boss got for my daughter from walmart...my fingers still smell like gingerbread cookies so i know the lotion is still there...either way, i must have transferred one or both to my lips without realizing it as i'm sure i still have the residue of either (or both) on my hands.....so NOW i will go and scrub the dickens out of my hands and lips (ok, i guess i'll taste my arm too) and see what happens...

Ok i agree with all  that told us that it was canned air. cause like last night i sprayed it accedentally doing it wrong and holding it the wrong way. this might have cause more chemicals to escape. causeing the laptop and anything that touches it to taste like chemicals

Proctor & Gamble have confirmed Denatonium Benzoate is in Gucci Pour homme II

So it is definitely this chemical which is our common problem, it is just featuring in so many different products... Not a good thing !

I finally figured it out. It's hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial soaps.
